A Holistic Renewal of May Tower’s External Garden
May Tower’s garden is transformed into a refined, contemporary landscape where water, stone, planting, and crafted forms converge. The design integrates feng shui principles with modern aesthetics, creating a sanctuary that feels intentional, calm, and deeply connected to the residents’ daily life.

The project expresses a contemporary, man‑made harmony — a balance between natural textures and refined materiality. Water becomes the medium through which movement, reflection, and quiet energy flow across the garden. The design moves beyond decorative water features; it frames the entire landscape as a living, breathing environment.
Turtle Pond Renewal
A Larger, Calmer, More Auspicious Water Body
The Turtle Pond is expanded by one‑third, adopting a rounded geometry that strengthens auspicious containment. A slim copper‑toned metal edge defines the water surface with modern precision. The pond becomes quieter and more intentional: a granite base, curated gravels, broad‑leaf aquatic plants, and a controlled cascade that maintains the auspicious South‑to‑North flow.
Excessive rock clutter is removed, allowing the water surface to breathe and the turtles to inhabit a serene, open environment.
East‑Side Waterfall
A Sculptural Vertical Element Anchoring the Garden’s East Sector
The waterfall rises to 1.3 meters, positioned using Luban Ruler auspicious measurements. Beginning at the wall adjoining the old bedroom, it extends 225 centimeters across the garden — a vertical gesture that activates positive qi.
Water travels through three crafted experiences: an ultra‑wide top sheet, a mid‑level sawtooth cascade, and a low reflective pool. Each layer is shaped to minimize noise, enhance texture, and create a meditative rhythm.
